Gotta agree with Emeka above. If the people can garner a semblance of collective will then 'political will' all of a sudden becomes more attainable

Political will, does it or does it not play a role in the sustainability of ideas. This your piece centres around the need for answers but truth be told, it's actually the will of the people that carries the sustenance of any political will.

Well said. I subscribe fully, especially to the conclusion. Populism often defeats common sense. And has been doing so since at least Adam Smith
